At ProcreaTec, our Gynecology team’s main objectives are: patients’ wellbeing, research and improving pregnancy rates.
Gynecology is the science of women and in medicine, it is the medical specialization that treats illnesses in the feminine reproductive system (uterus, vagina and ovaries).
ysteroscopy is a procedure used as a diagnostic tool to complement fertility treatments. This test is performed mainly when uterine pathology is suspected or when pregnancy is not achieved with Assisted Reproduction Techniques.
What does a hysterescopy consist of?
It is performed by introducing a camera through the cervix, to visualize the uterine cavity. This technique permits a direct visualization of the endometrium to study its morphology and functionality. We can diagnose and treat morphological abnormalities of the uterine cavity like polyps, fibromas, and malformations such as tabique and septii. It is also a very useful tool to evaluate the functionality of the endometrium and to determine if the lining presents atrophy, hypertrophy and hyperplasia, all abnormal findings.
In most cases, the same diagnostic procedure is also a therapeutic one so no other posterior intervention is necessary.
At present, there is a certain amount of scientific evidence that supports the use of hysteroscopy as a diagnostic tool before treatment or in cases where the results are not what was expected.
Thanks to the continuous investment in the latest technology, every stage of the treatment is performed at the clinic, which reduces the waiting times and increases the chances of pregnancy.
- Endometrial biopsy
If the patient decides to interrupt the treatment, we commit to reimbursing the portion of the treatment that has yet to be completed.
The monitoring of the treatment is done in an efficient and secure way, maintaining patient privacy.
Ultrasound is a fundamental tool in the diagnosis as well as in Assisted Reproduction treatments.
A good ultrasound monitorization permits shortening of the time to diagnosis and treatment and also avoids tests that are painful and expensive.
Ultrasonic diagnosis at ProcreaTec
Our specialists are accredited with Level III Expertise, granted by the Ultrasound Section of the Spanish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (SESEGO) qualifying our professionals to perform ultrasound in 2 or 3 dimensions.
Moreover, the hysterosonosalpingography permits a more exhaustive visualization of the uterine cavity in order to diagnose polyps, fibromas, adherences and other pathologies that interfere with embryo implantation.
