ProcreaTec is a clinic that strives for excellence. From the daily use of the latest technology, to the research we conduct, our objective is to improve our results. At present, we are developing research projects, including two prospective randomized trials to evaluate embryo morphology and improving the probability of implantation.
Our clinic is committed to improving the diagnoses and treatments in the field of Assisted Reproduction through research. As such, we invest part of our resources to fund projects that will further and deepen the body of knowledge in the field and allow us to improve the quality and techniques that we offer our patients.
This research has earned us two Merck Serono awards for Innovation, Quality and Image in Assisted Reproduction (ICIRA). This prize is backed by the Spanish Society of Fertility (Sociedad Española de Fertilidad or SEF) and the Association for the Study of Reproduction Biology (Asociación para el Estudio de la Biología de la Reproducción or ASEBIR).
In 2009, we were awarded the second prize in the “Relevant Data in Assisted Reproduction Treatments” category. The title of the paper was: “Does the addition of recombinant LH hormone help oocyte morphology in normal responding patients, in relation to their anti-Müllerian hormone level?” In this study, we compared anti-Müllerian hormone levels with the number and quality of eggs obtained in IVF cycles. We found a tendency that the higher the anti-Müllerian level, the higher the number of eggs retrieved, but when the AMH was very high, oocyte quality was not as good.
Two years later in 2011, we were awarded another ICIRA prize in the category “Innovation in Assisted Reproduction Treatments”. It was awarded for a study we carried out on the evaluation of early division in embryos that were cultured to Day 5: the blastocyst stage. If early cleavage was observed, increased pregnancy rates in IVF fertilization treatments were reported. Biologists Nagore Uriarte and Dr. Felix Rodriguez and Drs. Lourdes Lopez Yañez and Jennifer Rayward carried out the research.
These awards recognize our work and commitment to research, the quality of our services, our excellent results and the personalized attention we offer our patients.
